Create a collection

Collections group related links — a course, a project, a reading list — so everything you save around one topic stays together. Here is how to make one.

Create your collection

  1. Open Collections

In iLinkVault, open your collections and choose to create a new one.
  2. Name it (or use a template)

Give your collection a name, or start from one of the built-in templates below.
  3. Add your links

Add links you have already saved, or save new links directly into the collection.
  4. Choose who can see it

Set the collection to Private, Shared, or Public — see the descriptions below.

Start from a template

iLinkVault includes ready-made templates so you do not have to start from scratch:

Course

Group class resources, lessons, and references in one place.

Research

Keep papers, sources, and references for a topic together.

Project

Collect the links, tools, and docs for a project.

Reading List

Line up articles and posts you want to read.

Resources

Gather tools, guides, and references you reuse.

Favorites

Keep the links you return to most within reach.

Choose who can see it

Private

Only visible to you, unless you choose to share or publish it.

Shared

Visible to the people you share it with — anyone with the link or your chosen collaborators.

Public

Eligible to appear in Discover for the iLinkVault community after automatic safety checks.

Private by default

New collections are private until you decide otherwise. Sharing or publishing is always your choice.
