Send files from your phone to Chrome

Move PDFs, images, and documents from your phone straight to your connected Chrome browser — no cables, no emailing yourself, and no cloud account on the computer.

What you need

  • The iLinkVault Chrome extension on your computer — no account needed on the desktop.
  • The app paired with the extension: in iLinkVault, go to Settings → Browser Extension and scan the QR code shown by the extension.
  • An active internet connection on both your phone and your browser.
  • A Pro plan — Temporary File Transfer is a Pro feature, with a free trial when you first install the app.

Send from your phone

  1. Open the File Transfer tab

In the iLinkVault app on your phone, tap the File Transfer tab.
  2. Select a file

Choose a file from Photos or Files on your phone.
  3. Send it

Send it to your connected browser. The file appears in the Chrome extension on your computer within seconds.

Receive in Chrome

  1. Click the extension icon

In your paired Chrome browser, click the iLinkVault extension icon to see the received file.
  2. Download it

Download the file to your computer. The file expires automatically after 24 hours, so grab it before the window closes.

Files expire after 24 hours

Transferred files are temporary by design and expire automatically after 24 hours. Download the file to your computer before the window closes — see why transferred files expire.

Limits to know

Each transfer is limited to 25 MB, and supported file types are PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, TXT, CSV, and JSON. For larger files or other formats, a USB cable or external drive is the better tool. For the full overview and comparisons with other transfer methods, see the file transfer page.
